Kevin and Kristi attended LEDucation in New York City in March as guests of Lighting Virginia. LEDucation highlights the latest innovations in LED lighting and technology. LED’s are getting smaller and more efficient. Various color temperatures are now available as well. This is all exciting for designers, as there is more flexibility in how we light our projects. Here are some highlights from our visit. This fixture telescopes in length. It’s both architectural and a real sculptural statement piece.
This next fixture is made from thin LED panels. The fixture itself is incredibly thin.
Circles are very popular in the LED world right now. We used a similar fixture in our WEC project.
The flexibility of LED enables lighting fixture designers the ability to do some really beautiful things with materials. The open square using an LED panel really caught my eye.
And this starburst – gorgeous!
This glass fixture was ethereal!
Everyday fixtures are getting thinner and more beautiful. LED is also a great way to highlight a feature wall.
No trip to NYC would be complete without a little fun as well. We certainly enjoyed our trip to the Carnegie Deli!
